Datuk Seri Sabri Ismail's controversial comment on Chinese traders were described as a general statement on all traders by the Prime Minister's Department. – The Malaysian Insider pic, February 4, 2015.Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today defended Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob's Facebook comment on Chinese traders, saying the Umno minister was not targeting any specific race.The Prime Minister's Department in a statement said the Cabinet was told that Ismail's post was a reminder for all businesses to lower the price of their goods.It said the comments were "meant to rebuke traders who refuse to lower the price of goods" despite lower fuel price."The rebuke he made was targeted to all traders and not just traders from a particular race. Besides that, he suggested consumers use their purchasing power to force traders to reduce their price of goods," the statement said.It added that ‎Najib had reaffirmed the government's commitment to protect the interests of all races‎."Hence, any dispute that could lead to racial polarisation should not be dragged any further as it will only lead to harm," said the statement.The Prime Minister's Department added that the cabinet wanted all traders to be responsible and considerate when fixing the prices of their goods and services‎, and take into account the reduced fuel price."Aside from that, consumers must be smart and use their purchasing power to persuade traders to set a reasonable price," it said.The prime minister's statement follows a gathering by 92 Umno division chiefs in Putrajaya earlier today, to show support for Ismail Sabri.‎Ismail Sabri courted controversy after he wrote in a Facebook post that Malay consumers had a role in helping Putrajaya fight profiteers by using their collective power to lower the price of goods.‎"The majority of consumers are Malay, Chinese are a minority, if the Malays boycott their businesses, they will surely have no choice but to reduce their prices," he wrote on his Facebook page.He also singled out the OldTown White Coffee chain owned by OldTown Bhd, saying DAP MP Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham owned shares in the company."As long as the Malays don't change, the Chinese will take the opportunity to oppress the Malays," said Ismail.Ismail Sabri had confirmed with The Malaysian Insider that he posted the statements on his Facebook account.‎His comments drew flak from DAP, MCA and Gerakan leaders, who took the minister to task for singling out the Chinese as profiteers.‎Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang earlier today urged the Cabinet to take a stand over Ismail's "racist" comments during its meeting today, and called on them to not be "half-past six Cabinet or deadwood ministers", or "moral pygmies and political monsters".The DAP veteran leader had questioned as to whether the "rabid racialist" should remain a minister, claiming that Ismail had resorted to lies and falsehood to incite racial hatred.Ismail was questioned by the police today to aid in their investigation over his Facebook post.Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said police would also summon the MCA, Gerakan and DAP members who had lodged the police reports against Ismail Sabri, so that an amicable solution could be reached.‎ – February 4, 2015.

 กติกาปริศนาฟ้าแลบ

ในการแข่งขันแต่ละครั้งจะมีผู้เข้าแข่งขัน 2 ทีม ทีมละ 3 คน ประกอบไปด้วยดารา-นักแสดง 2 คน และผู้แข่งขันจากทางบ้านอีก 1 คน ผู้เข้าแข่งขันทั้ง 2 ทีมจะต้องส่งตัวแทนทีมละ 1 คนออกมาแข่งตอบคำถามภายในเวลา 2 นาที ซึ่งคำถามที่ทั้ง 2 คนจะต้องตอบนั้นเป็นคำถามชุดเดียวกัน โดยคนที่ยังไม่ได้เล่นจะต้องไปเก็บตัวนอกห้องส่งเพื่อไม่ให้ได้ยินคำถาม-คำตอบในชุดนั้น ส่วนคนที่ตอบคำถามจะต้องขึ้นไปนั่งบนเก้าอี้ล่อฟ้า ซึ่งเก้าอี้จะเลื่อนขึ้นทุกครั้งที่ตอบถูก และตกลงมาที่จุดเริ่มต้นทุกครั้งที่ตอบผิด โดยจะยึดคำตอบแรกที่ผู้แข่งขันตอบออกมาเป็นหลัก คนที่ตอบคำถามได้ถูกต้องติดต่อกันมากกว่าจะเป็นฝ่ายชนะในรอบนั้น (ในกรณีที่คะแนนในรอบนั้นเสมอ จะไม่มีทีมไหนได้คะแนนในรอบนั้น) ทีมไหนชนะได้ 3 ครั้งก่อนจะกลายเป็นแชมป์ และมีสิทธิเข้ารอบ Jackpot ต่อไป

ทั้งนี้ หากผู้แข่งขันคนใดคนหนึ่งในทีมสามารถตอบคำถามได้ถูกต้องติดต่อกัน 10 ข้อ จะได้รับเงินรางวัล 100,000 บาทจาก AIS 3G 2100 ซึ่งเป็นผู้สนับสนุนหลัก และถึอว่าทีมนั้นเป็นแชมป์ทันทีเช่นกัน

รอบ Jackpot

ทุกครั้งที่ได้เป็นแชมป์ ทีมแชมป์จะได้สิทธิเล่นเกมในรอบ Jackpot 1 ครั้ง หากเล่นเกมชนะ 1 ครั้งจะได้รับสายฟ้าไปสะสม หากทีมแชมป์สามารถเก็บสะสมสายฟ้าได้ครบ 3 สายฟ้า จะได้รับรถยนต์ Toyota Corolla Altis Esport มูลค่า 899,000 บาททันที และทีมแชมป์สามารถเล่นเกมต่อเนื่อง หรือหยุดพักให้ทีมอื่นแข่งกันก่อน แล้วกลับมาแข่งต่อเมื่อพร้อมก็ได้

กติกาแบบแรก
พิธีกรจะถามคำถาม 1 ข้อ ผู้แข่งขันทั้ง 3 คนจะต้องตอบคำถามเรียงกันทีละคน คนละ 1 คำตอบภายในเวลา 5 วินาที โดยที่ผู้แข่งขันสามารถตอบคำถามได้เรื่อย ๆ จนกว่าจะได้คำตอบที่ถูกต้องและไม่ซ้ำกับที่เคยตอบไปแล้ว ถ้าหากหมดเวลาแล้ว ผู้แข่งขันยังตอบคำถามไม่ได้ เกมจะยุติลงทันที ทั้งนี้ ในทีมของผู้แข่งขันมีสิทธิข้ามได้ 1 ครั้ง ใครจะสามารถใช้สิทธิข้ามก็ได้ และสามารถใช้ได้แม้ไม่ใช่ในรอบการตอบของตัวเอง โดยเมื่อข้ามแล้ว รอบการตอบจะเป็นของผู้แข่งขันคนถัดไป หากสามารถทำได้ครบ 20 คำตอบจะได้รับ 1 สายฟ้า

กติกาแบบที่สอง
ตั้งแต่วันที่ 24 มิถุนายน 2557 มีการเปลี่ยนกติการอบ Jackpot คือ พิธีกรจะถามคำถาม 1 ข้อ ผู้แข่งขันทั้ง 3 คนจะต้องตอบคำถามให้ได้ 20 คำตอบ ภายในเวลา 1 นาที โดยผู้เล่นที่จะตอบคำถามจะต้องขึ้นมาบนเวที เอามือแตะเสาล่อฟ้าถึงจะมีสิทธิตอบ โดยสามารถตอบกี่คำตอบก็ได้ และสามารถแตะมือเปลี่ยนตัวเพื่อนร่วมทีมด้านล่างขึ้นมาตอบคำถามแทนได้เช่นกัน หากสามารถทำได้ครบ 20 คำตอบก่อนเวลาหมดจะได้รับ 1 สายฟ้า

First they need to enter a medical marijuana dispensary and show a medical marijuana ID. But those hurdles cleared, the glowing green machines beckon.The ZaZZZ marijuana vending machine opened Tuesday morning at Seattle Caregivers, a medical marijuana dispensary. Arizona-based American Green, the company behind the vending machine, says it's the first age-verifying, climate-controlled, self-service dispensary.The company's president says it took its cue from bars that used to have cigarette vending machines. They thought: "The 21st century was here and maybe we can upgrade on that because dispensing machines are a very effective way to service the public," said Stephen Shearin, president and COO of American Green.The vending machines will be stocked by Seattle Caregivers and provide a "wide range of medicinal and recreational marijuana flowers, pot-infused edibles and merchandise," said the news release. The temperature-controlled vending machines are equipped with an advanced ID-scanner to verify a user's identity, age and additional data before dispensing selected items.Shearin says there's never an unattended machine. There's always an employee around to check ID before you purchase."You never have access to the machine ever if there isn't a human around to check your medical ID initially on your way in," said Shearin.Seattle Caregivers is located on South Jackson Street in Seattle's International District.ZaZZZ was the focus of a flurry of headlines in April when it announced plans to place a marijuana vending machine inside a Colorado medical marijuana dispensary. Syarikat Bestinet Sdn Bhd menjelaskan bahawa kontrak mengendalikan sistem pemprosesan visa dan pemeriksaan kesihatan biometrik pekerja asing masih belum dianugerahkan kepada mereka secara rasmi.Pengerusi eksekutifnya, Tan Sri Azmi Khalid berkata sistem berkenaan kini masih lagi dalam fasa “pembuktian konsep”."Saya pun tak berapa selesa dengan tidak ada kontrak ini, tetapi itu cara kerajaan kita buat.
"Kita harap satu hari nanti akan ada kontrak kerana proof of concept juga memakan belanja untuk dilaksanakan," kata bekas menteri dalam negeri itu.Perkhidmatan berkenaan digantung perkhidmatannya pada 30 Januari lalu oleh Jabatan Imigresen.Menurut Azmi, walaupun tiada kontrak, Bestinet setakat ini telah memasang sistem itu di lebih 200 pusat pemeriksaan kesihatan di 11 buah negara yang membekalkan pekerja asing.Bercakap kepada wartawan kemudiannya, Azmi berkata beliau berani mengambil langkah demikian kerana melihat potensi pasaran lebih 6 juta orang pekerja di luar negara yang akan mengguna pakai Sistem Pengurusan Berpusat Pekerja Asing (FWCMS).Justeru, Azmi berharap agar kerajaan menarik balik penangguhan sebelum ini dan menyokong usaha Bestinet yang merupakan "syarikat pertama di dunia" yang menyediakan platform demikian."Sistem ini yang pertama di dunia dan kerajaan sepatutnya berasa bangga dan tolong kita," kata Azmi.Beliau turut menjelaskan bahawa kedudukannya sebagai bekas menteri dalam negeri dan seorang bekas pengarah Jabatan Tenaga Kerja, Datuk Tengku Omar Tengku Bot membolehkan Bestinet memberikan penyelesaian yang lebih baik."Setiap masalah dalam kerajaan saya tahu. Saya pernah berada di sana,” katanya.Jelasnya, beliau memerhatikan bahawa tindakan kerajaan pada masa itu tidak mengambil kira masalah pembekal dan pengguna akhir."Semasa saya di sana, semua maklumat dan penyelesaian cuma datang dari satu pihak."Saya tak lihat (penyelesaian) dari pihak pembekal, pihak pengguna akhir," kata Azmi.Kedudukan beliau dan Tengku Omar dalam Bestinet menerima kritikan kerana didakwa memberi kelebihan kepada syarikat tersebut untuk mendapatkan kontrak imigresen.Syarikat itu juga dikritik kerana kontrak pemprosesan visa yang diperolehi Bestinet dikhuatiri akan menjejaskan integriti maklumat  Jabatan Imigresen.

Scott Applewhite, AP)WASHINGTON — Senate Democrats, for the second time in two days, blocked a Homeland Security funding bill Wednesday that would derail President Obama's executive order to protect about 4 million undocumented immigrants from deportation.Senators voted 53-47 to advance the bill, falling short once again of the 60 votes needed.If Congress cannot reach agreement on a bill by the end of the month, funding will expire for the Department of Homeland Security and the agency will face a partial shutdown.Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., insisted that the Senate vote on the $40 billion spending bill a second time after another round of debate.Republicans say the president's immigration actions are an unconstitutional power grab while Democrats say that Republicans are trying to appease immigration hardliners at the expense of the nation's security."Today's Democrat Party seems willing to go to any extreme to protect the kind of executive overreach President Obama once described as 'not how our democracy functions' — even to block Homeland Security funding to get its way," McConnell said before the vote.Democrats object to House-passed amendments that would cut off funding for Obama's executive order to protect the undocumented parents of U.S.citizens from being deported and allow them to work legally. Democrats also object to a provision to end Obama's 2012 program that offers protection from deportation and work permits to some undocumented immigrants brought to America as children."We should not play politics with critical resources that keep our country safe," said Sen. Lawsuit: Arizona's neglect of foster kids shocking

The suit, filed on behalf of 10 children, says Arizona does not have enough foster homes.(Photo: Nick Oza/The Republic)PHOENIX -- Arizona's neglect of children in foster care "shocks the conscience" and amounts to official apathy toward the plight of nearly 17,000 children, a class-action lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court alleges."It is time that someone gives voice to the thousands of children in foster care who have no say about where they live, where their siblings go, or what happens in their future," Kris Jacober, president of the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents, said in a statement accompanying the suit."Children are still sleeping in (state agency) offices because there is nowhere else for them," she said. "They're not receiving timely or needed mental health services. The children in this lawsuit represent thousands with similar stories. The state can't simply bring them into custody and provide for them on the fly."The suit, filed on behalf of 10 children currently in the Arizona foster-care system, names the directors of the state departments of Health Services and Child Safety and alleges the state:--Neglects its duty to provide adequate health care for children in state custody.--Has a severe shortage of foster homes.--Fails to promptly investigate reports of neglect and abuse involving children in foster care.--Hampers efforts to maintain family relationships by separating siblings in foster care and not providing required parental visits.Although the state is aware of these conditions, many of which the suit documents using the state's own data, it has not corrected them, the lawsuit says.Because of that, the lawsuit says, Arizona's actions show "a policy, pattern, custom and/or practice that shocks the conscience, is outside the exercise of any professional judgment, and amounts to deliberate indifference to the constitutionally-protected rights and liberty and privacy interests" of the children named in the suit, as well as all children under state care.Gov. Doug Ducey is reviewing the case and offered little comment. "Governor Ducey takes the safety and well-being of foster care children extremely seriously," his office said in a statement. "They are among the most vulnerable in our state and the governor believes it is imperative that the government protect them."The suit seeks a series of remedies, ranging from an increase in foster homes to timely medical care. The suit uses pseudonyms for the 10 child plaintiffs, who range in age from 3 to 14. It seeks class action by the court on behalf of all children in state foster care. As of September, there were 16,990 children in state custody, according to the latest data from the Department of Child Safety.The Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest, the local law firm of Coppersmith, Brockelman LPC and the New York-based Children's Rights organization are handling the case. Children's Rights filed a similar complaint last month in South Carolina and a nearly 4-year-old suit alleging neglect of Texas children in foster care is proceeding.The filing comes seven months after the state created a stand-alone child-welfare agency in the wake of the discovery of nearly 6,600 reports of child abuse and neglect that went without investigations over nearly four years.But that highly publicized effort, which resulted in the creation of the Department of Child Safety, didn't address the issues that plague foster care, said William Kapell, lead attorney with Children's Rights, an advocacy organization.In fact, despite all of the attention on child welfare over the last year, not much has changed, said Anne Ronan, an attorney with the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest."It created a more expensive investigative unit," she said.And if that investigative effort results in more children being removed from their homes, she said, the state needs to be prepared to cover the cost of each child's education, health care and mental-health treatment.Those responsibilities have been sorely neglected, the lawsuit points out, as it documents travails that the 10 children have endured.For example, one of the children, identified only as Charles P., had been in eight schools over a year-and-a-half.Beth K., the lead plaintiff in the case, had complained of a toothache for months while living in a group home, but got no dental care during the nearly two-year period. During that time frame, the state also failed to get her eyeglasses and did not notice that she walked with a limp, so she didn't get orthopedic shoes that would correct her walk.The lawsuit also says the state has hindered efforts to keep families together, and refers to the case of four siblings, two girls and two boys, ages 3 to 7, who were placed in state custody a year ago. They were initially placed with a relative 2 1/2 hours away from the family's home, a distance that apparently hampered the ability of state caseworkers to do "urgent responses" on their cases.Over the last year, the four, identified only as the "C-B siblings," were split into two separate foster homes, reunited for two weeks with their father before he returned them to state custody, sent to three different foster homes, and were denied the therapy the state Department of Child Safety determined they needed.In July, a Juvenile Court found the agency's action, or lack thereof, "appalling," noting DCS failed to follow through on therapy sessions, and didn't back up its promise to the father that it would help him with transportation to get the children to therapy.The case illustrates the lapses by the state in meeting its goal of maintaining family bonds, the suit says. The suit also says DCS has not coordinated visits between children in foster care and their parents, nor has it always done monthly visits with biological parents to gauge whether family reunification is possible.And while the state was trying to fix the former Child Protective Services, it did not keep up with similar complaints on foster care: Nearly three-quarters of foster care-related reports had not been looked at and resolved in the 60-day time frame required by law, the suit says.Dramatic video shows plane clip bridge before crashFeb 04, 2015
