Kuala Lumpur City Hall never issued business licences to foreigners, said Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, January 17, 2015.Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has never issued business licences to any foreigner doing business in the vicinity of Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur.Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the ministry would act against local entrepreneurs who rented out their sites to foreigners for business purposes."I have personally walked down Jalan Petaling and the DBKL enforcement officers had also carried out a survey on the foreign traders in the area, so action will be taken soon," he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur today.He said the plan to provide a new area for young entrepreneurs aged 40 and below, to be known as “Jalan Petaling 2", was under way. – Bernama, January 17, 2015.
