DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang questions the position of the Cabinet in denying any knowledge of the letter from Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to the FBI on gambling kingpin Paul Phua. – The Malaysian Insider pic, January 12, 2015.The DAP has asked how it was possible that the Cabinet was unaware of the Home Minister's letter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) backing a Malaysian gambling kingpin, and slammed ministers for not raising the matter at last week's meeting.Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang said no Malaysian would believe that the ministers were ignorant of the letter on Paul Phua Wei Seng, saying it was the "Biggest Show in Malaysia in the new year.""While the whole literate population was agog with their punches and counter-punches, the jabs and feints, the DPM and the rest of the Cabinet were blissfully ignorant as if they were living in a different world from the 30 million Malaysians!?"Could this be possible?" asked Lim in a statement today.Earlier today, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Cabinet was unaware of the letter Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had sent to the FBI declaring that Phua was not a member of the Hong Kong 14K Triad."This being the case, Muhyiddin and the rest of the Cabinet ministers should explain why they had failed their public responsibilities and duties in failing to raise the Zahid-Phua-Shafee-Khalid quadrilateral tangle in last Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting, especially if the ministers care for the interests and international reputation of the country!" said Lim. – January 12, 2015.MORE TO COME
