Both are being investigated under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.PKR Youth strategy director Akmal Nasir said Gunaraj and Chua would be accompanied by lawyer Melissa Sasidaran.Last year, PKR Youth launched the #RakyatHakimNegara campaign in support of party de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim which included flash mobs and ceramah held in front of the Palace of Justice.Anwar's appeal against his second sodomy conviction was heard by the Federal Court in October last year.Both Chua and Gunaraj are being investigated in connection with the organisation of flash mobs which had been held throughout that month.Akmal said there had been no reports of violence or untoward incidents which threatened national security when the flash mobs were held."This raises the question of the necessity in probing those who were merely voicing out their opinion and support openly."Who could have lodged the police report which necessitated immediate investigations by the authorities?" Akmal asked."Does this mean more will be called up too as they had participated in the flash mobs?" he said, adding that intimidation tactics would only rally more people. – January 10, 2015.
