A four-metre-long python was found to have swallowed a deer at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) deer park in Skudai, Johor, last night.Harian Metro reported today that park staff only realised the deer's loss this morning and immediately informed the manager, Mohd Sum.Mohd Sum then alerted the Civil Defence Department.Civil Defence Department operation head Noor Mohd Sufian confirmed receiving a report at 9am."Our team arrived at the location at 9.15am and managed to capture the python about 10 minutes later," he said.UTM Deer Park is home to 33 deers, scientifically known as "axis-axis".The deers roam freely around the area situated near the UTM campus' main entrance. – January 11, 2015.
