Monday deadline for Khalid’s ex-aides to return severance pay as Azmin mulls action


Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said the state government was preparing its next course of action should the ex-aides of former menteri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim fail to return the RM2.6 million they had received in severance payments. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, January 16, 2015.Former aides of Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and others who had worked for the former Selangor menteri besar have a Monday deadline to return the RM2.6 million they received in severance payments as the present state administration prepares for its next course of action should they fail to do so.Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said the state government and Menteri Besar Incorporated would issue a statement next Tuesday once the deadline had expired."They have been given a period of two weeks. Once the two weeks have lapsed, the state government and MBI will take a stand for the next course of action."The aides include Faekah Husin, who is former MBI chief executive officer as well as Khalid's political former secretary, who received the largest payout of RM695,400.Azmin was speaking to reporters today at the foyer of the state government building in Shah Alam.He also said it was the prerogative of Khalid's former staff if they wanted to take legal action."That is their right.
